The 61st Urbanna Oyster Festival is the Official Oyster Festival of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Town of Urbanna, with only a population of 500, closes its streets to host this two-day celebration of “everything oyster” drawing 70,000 visitors. The Urbanna Oyster Festival has fun for everyone: a shucking contest, parades, oysters every way you can image, festival food, oyster heritage and ecology, arts and crafts, live music, a dance, the queen’s crowning, children’s activities, wine and beer tastings and more! The VIP Oyster Lovers Experience is the “pearl” of the festival offering many luxury amenities to enhance your day at the festival!
